Product Review

Ok so Sunday I had to get some new products cause I was running mad low. So I decided to get some Suave Naturals Coconut conditioner for my co-washes and some Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil. I still have my Organix Shea Butter Conditioner. So I get home, and decide to use my Suave for my co-wash and my Organix for a deep conditioner. Never before has my hair been so soft and easy to detangle. After that, I decided to use my Africa's Best oil and it was so soft and manageable. So now, I've decided to do a Bantu knot out using my spritz mix (Organix conditioner, purified water and some Doo Gro oil), my ORS Lock and Twist gel and my Africa's best. I love these products!

Ok for the guys

So I'm going to try to make this blog a little less bout hair and more about everything going on in my life. So today, I was thinking: karma is a bitch! Seriously! I played so many guys and I kind of deserve the karma I'm getting back but I don't deserve to have someone try to run the game on me. Really? Me? Has he never met me? I get so tried of guys trying to be cool or whatever and mistake a female that's trying to be real for someone else. I stayed by you when everybody else told me to hit the bricks. I'm done with the love thing cause I really don't have time for the b.s. people obviously like! *sigh*

Average

According to what myspace and facebook say, I'm average. Average height and weight; average looks and average intelligence. But I say I'm not average at least not in my eyes. My parents don't really understand my choice to go natural. My dad says my hair is nappy and my mom can't understand that I have to find different styles to work. My dad also says that with me wanting a big chop, I'm probably a lesbian. *sigh* That's upsetting. I really feel kinda down because I simply am not average. I'm above average. True, I can't find a good style that provides moisture and is cute but really, I can't help it. It's not an excuse either because all my mom wanted to do was braid my hair and never really taught me how to do it. I'm working on it but truthfully, I want my people to research and shut up before they decide to comment on my hair. How can my parents say their proud African Americans when they don't appreciate what God gave us? I'm far from average because I'm beautiful and I appreciate the beauty God gave me.

Review

My Oyin finally came! It smells good but doesn't interact with my Doo-Gro 2 well. Seriously though, I've been breaking out so horribly that's it's not even funny but I guess it's due to stress. I'm so happy to be adjusting to my college life though! Anyways, I need to write down my current regimen so I can figure out what I'm doing right or wrong and control my product junkie!
Nightly regimen:
Twist hair into sections after misting with water
Spritz with J&B
Wrap
Daily regimen:
Unwrap hair
Do something to it
Go
Every other day:
Oil hair
Every 5 days wash hair

Whew!

Been kinda busy! Ordered my Oyin and just waiting for it to come in. Had to trim out my ends myself because I didn't have time or $ for anyone else to do. Lookn good. Pics later!

Okay

So I'm still transitioning and finding different styles that suit me. I kind of like this because it's the most fun I've had with my hair and forever! LOL. Been kind of busy with the college thing to really be up here but yes, I have been taking my vitamins and oiling my hair and doing all the good things my hair needs done to it.
Speaking of doing my college girl thing, I was told the worst thing to do for my hair is to stress. Now, a lot of shade has been thrown my way lately but during this process I realized that even when haters throw shade at you, they wanna be you. I love it!

Been a min!

Well, I haven't been doing this right! Lol. So I've been tryn 2 take care for my hair u knw washing it and making it pretty. I have met some really nice females that have natural hair. From what I've been told and noticed, it's just how your hair is. It doesn't matter what others say but more so how ur head feels to you. I'm lovn the transition (rite now!) Hopefully more l8a!

Harajoku Barbie goes natural

Photobucket

First week

So this is officially my first week of transitioning! Yay me! My mom and sis are being super supportive so :D. My ends are super dry so I'm going to moisture them. I have to remember to write down my routine so I can see what works and what doesn't. I'm really thinking that by my nineteenth birthday, I'm either going to do a BC or just a mini BC. Idk! Newayz, I'm realizing stress and my hair = a bad combo! So for this week, I think Ima try to be more healthy and drink some water, work out and do the whole "eat all these lovely meals" thing. So before I jet off to actually do my hair, I need to write down this moisturizing thing!
Nightly regiumen
1. Comb hair
2. Moisturize ends
3. Wrap hair
Tonite tho, I think Ima do some two strand twists and see the outcome.
Love and peace (pics 2mrw!)

Love and peace,

Whoa!

So I'm looking up all these websites to figure out what's helpful and it's like WHOA!!! INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!! So I'm finding blackgirllonghair.blogspot.com and naturalhairrules.blogspot.com are really helpful (although I am just starting!)

Love and peace,
Alesia

My very first blog!

So for all who care or who read this, I've recently decided to go natural. I'm a college freshman and I decided that this has to happen. I've been looking at all these websites that are trying to help but I'm not that experienced with my hair b/c I've neva had to do it. My mom did it in braids until sixth grade when I got my first relaxer. Hopefully, week by week, I can do this and show you how beautiful I can be!

Love and peace,
Alesia
